The battle between the Canucks and Wild didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Minnesota was handed a 4-0 defeat on Monday at Rogers Arena.
Vancouver won as a -215 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Vancouver got goals from Henrik Sedin, Ryan Kesler, Alexandre Burrows, and Jannik Hansen in the victory. Sedin opened the scoring at 18:52 of the first period.
Roberto Luongo turned in a 33-save effort for the Canucks.
Minnesota got a 29-stop effort from Niklas Backstrom in the loss.
On the power play, Vancouver went 2-for-3, while the Wild were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.
Next game, Vancouver takes its act home to face Detroit looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head on the road to face Calgary.
