Peterson runs over Golden Hurricane
Adrian Peterson ran for 222 yards and found the end zone three times to lead the No.18 Oklahoma Sooners to a 31-15 victory over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday afternoon.
The Sooners won this game at home but failed to cover the 30.5-point spread. The game’s final score fell UNDER the posted total (50).
Despite the win, Sooners QB Rhett Bomar had a horrible game, completing only 5 of 13 passes for 41 yards while getting picked off twice.
Clint Ingram had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the win for the Sooners.
Paul Smith went 24-for-37 for 240 yards passing with an interception, while also being the Golden Hurricane’s leading rusher with 40 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
