Recap - Predators Defeat Minnesota 2-1

Nashville needed a shootout to earn a 2-1 victory over Minnesota on Wednesday in NHL action at Bridgestone Arena.

Bettors who backed the Predators were rewarded as -125 favorites at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 5.

The win was clinched by Colin Wilson, who beat Josh Harding in a shootout to gain the extra point in the standings for Nashville. Jonathon Blum scored for the Predators in the victory. Blum opened the scoring for Nashville, finding the back of the net at 7:00 of the third period. The goal was assisted by Francis Bouillon and Colin Wilson.

Pekka Rinne turned in a 34-save effort for the Predators.

Dany Heatley scored for the Wild, finding the net behind Pekka Rinne.

Minnesota got a 24-stop effort from Josh Harding in the loss.

On the power play, Nashville went 0-for-3, while the Wild were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Nashville lost the shots on goal battle to Minnesota by a margin of 35-25.

Next game, Nashville takes its act on the road to face St. Louis looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head home to face Edmonton.
