Carolina got goals from Chad LaRose, Anthony Stewart, and Brandon Sutter in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

New York lost the shots on goal battle to Carolina by a margin of 40-36.

New York heads into a battle against the Ducks. Carolina, meanwhile, will have their next action against Buffalo.
