Quinton Porter connected with Chris Miller in the end zone twice on Saturday as the No. 22 Boston College Eagles defeated the BYU Cougars by a 20-3 score.

The Eagles managed to cover the 2-point spread in this season-opening contest. The combined score fell well UNDER the game’s posted total (48).

Porter went 27-of-35 for 227 yards on the day. Ryan Ohliger booted two field goals for the Eagles.

Cougars quarterback John Beck was good on 41-of-60 pass attempts for 328 yards in the loss. Jared McLaughlin’s third-quarter field goal was BYU’s only score in the game.
