Beck and Brown overpower Golden Hurricane
John Beck passed for 240 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Brigham Young Cougars over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 49-24 at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday.
BYU covered the 4-point spread at home, and the 73 points scored were OVER the posted total of 53.
Curtis Brown carried the ball 21 times for 125 yards, while Fui Vakapuna had 11 rushing attempts for 96 yards and two scores for the Cougars.
Paul Smith was 19-for-32 for 182 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while Tarrion Adams had eight carries for 23 yards and a major, while catching seven balls for 89 yards for the Golden Hurricane.
