Washington State was unable to slow down Kaneakua Friel, who produced 101 receiving yards as the Cougars defeated the Cougars 30-6 on Thursday.

Riley Nelson completed 25 of 36 pass attempts for 285 yards for the Cougars in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Carl Winston rushed for 7 yards for Washington State, while Teondray Caldwell added 4 yards. Jeff Tuel threw for 229 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Marquess Wilson and Isiah Myers had 61 and 50 yards respectively.
Washington State was outgained by BYU 426-224 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-18 by the Cougars.
BYU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 35:34/24:26 split in that important category.
