Idaho vs BYU Wrap - BYU Wins 52-13
The Vandals had no answer for Jamaal Williams on Saturday as the Cougars rolled to a 52-13 win at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
The Cougars earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 40-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 50.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Riley Nelson completed 19 of 31 pass attempts for 236 yards for the Cougars in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Ryan Bass rushed for 33 yards for Idaho, while Logan Bushnell added 19 yards. Logan Bushnell threw for 206 yards for the Vandals, while receivers Mike Scott and Najee Lovett had 65 and 59 yards respectively.
Idaho was outgained by BYU 537-273 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-15 by the Cougars.
The time of possession battle favored BYU as their offense was on the field for 35:17, longer than the 24:43 of their opponents.
Next game, BYU takes its act on the road to face San Jose State looking for another win. For Idaho, they head home to face UTSA.
