Sharks vs Flames Final: 2-1 - Recap

It came down to a shootout and Antti Niemi foiled the opposition in a 2-1 victory for San Jose over Calgary Tuesday.

The Sharks were a -185 favorite in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Brent Burns clinched the win with a shootout goal in round 3 for the Sharks. San Jose got goals from Torrey Mitchell in the victory. Mitchell opened the scoring at 10:44 of the third period.

Antti Niemi turned in a 27-save effort for the Sharks.

Calgary got a goal from Chris Butler in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 30 of 31 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, San Jose went 0-for-2, while the Flames were 0-for-0 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to San Jose by a margin of 31-28.

San Jose looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Senators. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track at Los Angeles.
