Calgary Falls 6-1 to Oilers - Recap

The battle between the Oilers and Flames didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Calgary was handed a 6-1 defeat on Tuesday at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Oilers were a +150 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Edmonton got goals from Ryan Smyth, Eric Belanger, Ales Hemsky, Sam Gagner, Jordan Eberle, and Taylor Hall in the victory. Eberle opened the scoring at 18:48 of the first period.

Devan Dubnyk stopped 21 of 22 Calgary shots in the victory.

Scott Hannan scored for the Flames, finding the net behind Devan Dubnyk.

Calgary got a 29-stop effort from Miikka Kiprusoff in the loss.

On the power play, Edmonton went 1-for-3, while the Flames were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to Edmonton by a margin of 42-22.

Next game, Edmonton takes its act home to face Philadelphia looking for another win. For Calgary, they head home to face Phoenix.
