Washington Falls 51-38 to Cornhuskers - Recap

Nebraska got a 120-yard performance from Rex Burkhead as a key part of its 51-38 victory over the Huskies on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Cornhuskers earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 17.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 52.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Taylor Martinez completed 10 of 21 pass attempts for 155 yards for the Cornhuskers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Chris Polk rushed for 130 yards for Washington, while Keith Price added 10 yards. Keith Price threw for 274 yards for the Huskies, while receivers James Johnson and Jermaine Kearse had 108 and 69 yards respectively.

Washington lost the offensive yardage battle to Nebraska 464-420 yards in Saturday's game. Nebraska had more first downs as that total ended up 22-20.

The time of possession battle favored Nebraska as their offense was on the field for 30:29, longer than the 29:31 of their opponents.

Nebraska looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Wyoming. Washington will aim to get back on the winning track vs California.
