Minnesota Falls 7-1 to Avalanche - Recap

The battle between the Avalanche and Wild didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Minnesota was handed a 7-1 defeat on Tuesday at Pepsi Center.

Colorado won as a -175 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Colorado got goals from Jay McClement, Jan Hejda, Paul Stastny, Cody McLeod, Jamie McGinn, Ryan O'Reilly, and Mark Olver in the victory. McClement opened the scoring at 3:05 of the first period.

Semyon Varlamov stopped 21 of 22 Minnesota shots in the victory.

Devin Setoguchi scored for the Wild, finding the net behind Semyon Varlamov.

Matt Hackett stopped 17 of 21 shots for the Wild, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Colorado went 1-for-4, while the Wild were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Minnesota lost the shots on goal battle to Colorado by a margin of 39-22.

Colorado looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Predators. The Wild will aim to get back on the winning track at Phoenix.
