Recap - Penguins Defeat Boston 5-2

The Penguins earned a 5-2 victory over the Bruins on Sunday at Consol Energy Centre.

The Penguins were a -145 favorite in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Arron Asham, Pascal Dupuis, Chris Kunitz, Matt Niskanen, and James Neal each scored for the Penguins in the victory. Asham opened the scoring for Pittsburgh, finding the back of the net at 3:24 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Ben Lovejoy and Craig Adams.

Marc-Andre Fleury turned in a 34-save effort for the Penguins.

Boston got goals from David Krejci (2) in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Marty Turco stopped 20 of 22 shots for the Bruins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Pittsburgh went 1-for-4, while the Bruins were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Pittsburgh lost the shots on goal battle to Boston by a margin of 36-32.

Pittsburgh looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Rangers. The Bruins will aim to get back on the winning track at Tampa Bay.
