Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was the difference, potting a pair for Edmonton on Friday as the Oilers skated off with a 3-1 victory over the Flames at Rexall Place.

The Oilers were a -126 favorite in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (2) and Jordan Eberle each scored for the Oilers in the victory. Nugent-Hopkins opened the scoring for Edmonton, finding the back of the net at 10:12 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Jordan Eberle.

Devan Dubnyk turned in a 18-save effort for the Oilers.

Calgary got a goal from Mark Giordano in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Leland Irving stopped 22 of 25 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Edmonton went 0-for-6, while the Flames were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to Edmonton by a margin of 25-19.

Edmonton looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Coyotes. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track vs Columbus.
