Cory Schneider stopped 32 of 33 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Minnesota went 1-for-3, while the Canucks were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.
Vancouver lost the shots on goal battle to Minnesota by a margin of 34-33.
Minnesota heads into a battle against the Flames. Vancouver, meanwhile, will have their next action against Chicago.
