Tigers nip Volunteers in close game

JaMarcus Russell was 24-for-36 for 246 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions, while Early Doucet added 71 yards and a score on eight catches for the Tigers.
Jonathon Crompton took over for an injured Erik Ainge, and went 11-for-23 for 183 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick. Robert Meachem fought five passes for 121 yards and two scores for the Volunteers.
