Minnesota Skates Past Florida 3-2 - Recap

The Wild earned a 3-2 victory over the Panthers on Thursday at Xcel Energy Center.

Minnesota won as a +117 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played PUSH the total of 5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Mikko Koivu, Erik Christensen, and Kyle Brodziak each scored for the Wild in the victory. Brodziak opened the scoring for Minnesota, finding the back of the net at 1:03 of the third period. The goal was assisted by Cal Clutterbuck.

Niklas Backstrom stopped 25 of 27 Florida shots in the victory.

Scottie Upshall and Tomas Fleischmann scored for the Panthers, finding the net behind Niklas Backstrom.

Florida got a 22-stop effort from Jose Theodore in the loss.

On the power play, Minnesota went 0-for-2, while the Panthers were 2-for-5 with the man advantage.

Minnesota lost the shots on goal battle to Florida by a margin of 27-25.

Next game, Minnesota takes its act home to face Los Angeles looking for another win. For Florida, they head on the road to face Columbus.
