Longhorns pound Rajin’ Cajuns
Vince Young tossed three touchdown passes Saturday night as the No. 2 Texas Longhorns pounded the Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin’ Cajuns 60-3 in their season opener.
The Longhorns paid off for their supporters on this night, managing to cover the big 39-point spread. The combined score went OVER the game’s posted total (57).
Young went 13-of-17 for 172 yards in the win, and ran for a score. David Thomas had two touchdown receptions, and Henry Melton picked up two rushing scores.
Sean Comiskey’s first-quarter field goal was Louisiana-Lafayette’s only score in the loss.
