Vancouver won as a -160 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
The win was clinched by Ryan Kesler, who beat Jason LaBarbera in a shootout to gain the extra point in the standings for Vancouver. Vancouver got goals from David Booth in the victory. Booth opened the scoring at 10:40 of the second period.
Roberto Luongo stopped 23 of 24 Phoenix shots in the victory.
Phoenix got a goal from Keith Yandle in the loss, but it wasn't enough.
Jason LaBarbera stopped 21 of 22 shots for the Coyotes, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Vancouver went 0-for-3, while the Coyotes were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.
Vancouver lost the shots on goal battle to Phoenix by a margin of 24-22.
Vancouver heads into a battle against the Avalanche. Phoenix, meanwhile, will have their next action against Los Angeles.
