Texas won 34-7 on Saturday against Wyoming behind a 104-yard receiving performance from Mike Davis at Memorial Stadium.
Texas won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 27.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 51.5.
Garrett Gilbert completed 22 of 35 pass attempts for 222 yards for the Longhorns in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Alvester Alexander rushed for 29 yards for Wyoming, while Austyn Carta-Samuels added 25 yards. Austyn Carta-Samuels threw for 160 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Zach Bolger and Alvester Alexander had 39 and 33 yards respectively.
Wyoming lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas 389-257 yards in Saturday's game. Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 20-13.
The time of possession battle favored Wyoming as their offense was on the field for 30:39, longer than the 29:21 of their opponents.
Texas heads into a Week 3 battle against Texas Tech. Wyoming, meanwhile, will have their next action against Boise State.
