St. Louis Skates Past Detroit 6-0 - Recap

St. Louis cruised to victory on Saturday, earning an easy 6-0 win over the Red Wings at Scottrade Center.

Bettors who backed the Blues were rewarded as -135 favorites at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.

St. Louis got goals from Chris Stewart (2), Vladimir Tarasenko (2), T.J. Oshie, and Patrik Berglund in the victory. Tarasenko opened the scoring at 6:36 of the first period.

Jaroslav Halak turned in a 14-save effort for the Blues.

Jimmy Howard stopped 23 of 28 shots for the Red Wings, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

Detroit lost the shots on goal battle to St. Louis by a margin of 36-14.

Next game, St. Louis takes its act on the road to face Nashville looking for another win. For Detroit, they head on the road to face Columbus.
