Tate leads Iowa over Illinois

Drew Tate threw for 190 yards and one score, and the Iowa defense did the rest as the Hawkeyes dropped the Illinois Fighting Illini 24-7 at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The Hawkeyes just missed sovering the 21-point spread on the road, and the 31 points scored was UNDER the posted total of 46.

Tate went 17-for-27 on the day with a pick, and Albert Young had 97 combined yards and a score for Iowa.

Juice Williams was 9-for-32 for 161 yards and one touchdown, and was picked off three times by Iowa. Jacob Willis caught three balls for 78 yards and a touchdown for the Illini.
