The win was clinched by Corey Perry, who beat Pekka Rinne in a shootout to gain the extra point in the standings for Anaheim. Anaheim got goals from Bobby Ryan and Daniel Winnik in the victory. Ryan opened the scoring at 19:27 of the second period.
Viktor Fasth stopped 19 of 21 Nashville shots in the victory.
David Legwand and Brandon Yip scored for the Predators, finding the net behind Viktor Fasth.
Pekka Rinne stopped 20 of 22 shots for the Predators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Anaheim went 0-for-4, while the Predators were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.
Nashville lost the shots on goal battle to Anaheim by a margin of 22-21.
Anaheim heads into a battle against the Sharks. Nashville, meanwhile, will have their next action against Phoenix.
