Sharks vs Canucks Final: 4-1 - Recap

San Jose got a pair of goals from Joe Pavelski as the Sharks skated to a 4-1 victory over Vancouver on Sunday at HP Pavilion.

San Jose got goals from Joe Pavelski (2), Joe Thornton, and Patrick Marleau in the victory. Thornton opened the scoring at 0:43 of the first period.

Antti Niemi turned in a 23-save effort for the Sharks.

Alexandre Burrows scored for the Canucks, finding the net behind Antti Niemi.

Cory Schneider stopped 23 of 27 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, San Jose went 2-for-8, while the Canucks were 0-for-7 with the man advantage.

Vancouver lost the shots on goal battle to San Jose by a margin of 27-24.

Next game, San Jose takes its act home to face Anaheim looking for another win. For Vancouver, they head on the road to face Los Angeles.
