Indiana couldn't hang with the Fighting Illini on Saturday as Illinois blasted the Hoosiers 43-13 in Week 8 action at Memorial Stadium.
The Fighting Illini were a 13-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 53.5.
Nathan Scheelhaase completed 13 of 21 pass attempts for 123 yards for the Fighting Illini in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Trea Burgess rushed for 42 yards for Indiana, while Antonio Banks added 34 yards. Ben Chappell threw for 279 yards for the Hoosiers, while receivers Ted Bolser and Damarlo Belcher had 77 and 59 yards respectively.
Illinois lost the offensive yardage battle to Indiana 388-289 yards in Saturday's game. Indiana had more first downs as that total ended up 21-14.
