Northern Illinois shuts down Rockets
Garrett Wolfe rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Northern Illinois Huskies to a 35-17 win over the Toledo Rockets on Wednesday night.
The Huskies won this game as 12-point underdogs on the road, and improved to 6-4 on the season with the victory. The game’s combined 52 points pushed the posted total (52).
Dan Nicholson completed 20-of-30 passes for 174 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. Nicholson also ran for a TD in the victory. Jake Nordin and Pat Raleigh had a touchdown catch each for the Huskies.
Bruce Gradkowski threw for 169 yards, a touchdown and was picked off three times in the loss. Gradkowski also added a TD on the ground for the Rockets.
