Nittany Lions roar past Chippewas

Deon Butler had two touchdown catches Saturday as the Penn State Nittany Lions topped the Central Michigan Chippewas by a 40-3 score.

The Lions had no trouble covering the 22.5-point spread at home in this contest. The combined score fell UNDER the day’s posted total (49).

Lions QB Michael Robinson went 14-of-23 for 272 yards, throwing three TD strikes and getting intercepted once. Robinson also ran for a Penn State score, while Terrell Golden and Ethan Kilmer had TD catches.

Kent Smith was good on 23-of-37 pass attempts for 136 yards for the Chippewas.
