Penn State blanks Temple

With injured coach Joe Paterno watching at home, Penn State allowed only 74 yards in a 47-0 win over Temple at Beaver Stadium on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions covered the 36-point spread at home, and the 47 points scored were OVER the posted total of 45.

Anthony Morelli went 12-for-22 for 159 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, and Tony Hunt rushed for 167 yards and three scores on 16 carries for the Nittany Lions.

Adam DiMichele was 7-for-17 for 52 yards and a pick, while Tim Brown was held to 21 yards on 14 rushing attempts for the Owls.
