Henrik Lundqvist stopped 28 of 32 shots for the Rangers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Winnipeg went 0-for-3, while the Rangers were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.
New York outshot Winnipeg 33-32 in the game.
Winnipeg looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Devils. The Rangers will aim to get back on the winning track vs Tampa Bay.
