The Sharks earned a 2-1 victory over the Predators on Saturday at HP Pavilion.

Dan Boyle and Joe Pavelski each scored for the Sharks in the victory. Boyle opened the scoring for San Jose, finding the back of the net at 17:47 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Joe Thornton and Logan Couture.

Antti Niemi turned in a 18-save effort for the Sharks.

Nashville got a goal from Gabriel Bourque in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Pekka Rinne stopped 37 of 39 shots for the Predators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, San Jose went 2-for-4, while the Predators were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.

San Jose outshot Nashville 39-19 in the game.

San Jose looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Canucks. The Predators will aim to get back on the winning track at Los Angeles.
