St. Louis Ices San Jose 4-3 - Recap

The Blues got a 3-goal performance from Vladimir Sobotka as St. Louis handed San Jose a 4-3 defeat on Saturday at HP Pavilion.

St. Louis won as a +110 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Vladimir Sobotka (3) and Patrik Berglund each scored for the Blues in the victory. Sobotka opened the scoring for St. Louis, finding the back of the net at 4:51 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Kevin Shattenkirk and Wade Redden.

Jake Allen stopped 22 of 25 San Jose shots in the victory.

San Jose got goals from Scott Gomez, Logan Couture, and Matt Irwin in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Antti Niemi stopped 25 of 28 shots for the Sharks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, St. Louis went 1-for-4, while the Sharks were 1-for-2 with the man advantage.

San Jose lost the shots on goal battle to St. Louis by a margin of 35-25.

Next game, St. Louis takes its act on the road to face Anaheim looking for another win. For San Jose, they head on the road to face Colorado.
