Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis, and Steven Stamkos each scored for the Lightning in the victory. Lecavalier opened the scoring for Tampa Bay, finding the back of the net at 1:36 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Martin St. Louis and Alex Killorn.

Tampa Bay lost the shots on goal battle to Florida by a margin of 39-13.
Tampa Bay looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Islanders. The Panthers will aim to get back on the winning track at Boston.
