Meineke Car Care Bowl odds - North Carolina (8-4) vs. West Virginia -1 (8-4) O/U 45
Both of these teams played tough schedules this season, as the Tar Heels beat 2 ranked opponents and the Mountaineers were 1-1 against ranked teams. The key for the Mountaineers in this game is if their 35th ranked defense can contain the rushing offense of the Tar Heels, which ranks 12th in the nation. This is the sixth straight Bowl game for West Virginia.
Look for West Virginia QB Pat White to end his college career on a high note, as they will win this game and cover the spread.
Champs Sports Bowl odds - Florida State -6 (8-4) vs. Wisconsin (7-5) O/U 52
The key match in this game is the Seminoles and their 13th ranked defense against the stud RB duo of the Badgers in P.J. Hill and John Clay. The Badgers come into this game hot, as they won four of their last five games. The Seminoles will look to bounce back after a humiliating defeat against Florida 45-15 in their season finale.
Look for the Seminoles to play a great defensive game, which will spur them on to victory. I do not see a lot of scoring in this game, so the Under may be a good pick. Bet the game now at Bovada
Emerald Bowl odds - California -8 (8-4) vs. Miami (FL) (7-5) O/U 50
Miami comes into this game after dropping their last two games of the season, while the Bears won their last two games. Miami and their 25th ranked defense will have to contain Bears’ RB Jahvid Best (1394 yds 13 TD). Cal has the nation’s 24th ranked defense and they will face a Hurricanes offense that is mediocre at best.
Look for Best and the Cal offense to light up the Hurricanes and score a lot of points, as they should easily win this game and cover the spread.
Independence Bowl odds - Louisiana Tech (7-5) vs. Northern Illinois (6-6) Pick O/U 47.5
Tech comes into this Bowl hot, as they won five of their last six games. Northern Illinois has the nation’s 21st ranked defense and they will have to contain Tech’s RB Daniel Porter (1086 yds 8 TD). The key to this game may be which team can make the big play in the air, as they are both pretty even in terms of their passing offense. Tech only has the nation’s 77th ranked defense.
Look for a close game, but for the superior defense of Northern Illinois to be the key to them winning.
