Four giant longshots for British Open

The last nine major champions on the PGA Tour have been first-time major winners. Could one of these massive longshots be the 10th straight at the 7,086-yard, par-70 Royal Lytham & St Annes course this week? Here's a look at some of the bigger posted lines to win the 2012 British Open . . .

Greg Owen --150/1 at Bovada
The Englisman has a pair of Top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season and is eighth in greens in regulation. He finished tied for 23rd at Royal Lytham in 2001.
Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano -- 200/1 at Bovada
Bunkers are everywhere, and they are treacherous at Royal Lytham. Fernandez-Castano is second on the European Tour in sand saves.
Greg Chalmers --250/1 at Bovada
Second on the PGA Tour in sand saves, Chalmers held off Tiger Woods and John Senden to win last year’s Australian Open.
Adilson Da Silva: -- 1000/1 at Bovada
On a course that demands accuracy off the tee, Da Silva leads the European Tour in driving accuracy at 85 percent.
