Pacquiao vs. Mosley Boxing Odds

Boxing fans will get to watch some big names in the sport perform on the weekend when legends Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley, and Evander Holyfield are all in action.

Oddsmakers are offering action on six fights from three different fight cards, but that number is expected to rise by the weekend.

The big fight on May 7 is the Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley matchup for the WBO Welterweight title. This fight would have taken place 10 years ago if the two fighters were close enough in weight class, but now they will be able to finally cross paths as Welterweights.

Mosley is well past his prime and will be a heavy underdog against the fighter that is still considered to be the world No.1 pound-for-pound.

Pacquiao should have no trouble with a slower Mosley, who has only won two of his last five fights. It won’t come cheap, but the safe money will be on Pacquiao to win via KO. The current line on Pacquiao is very different between sportsbooks with the cheapest price currently listed at Sportsbook at -600.

Some books are charging as much as -1000. If you like the Mosley upset he will pay as much as +600 at Sportsbook.

Another lopsided matchup on the Pacquiao vs. Mosley card is the Jorge Arce vs. Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. fight. Vazquez Jr. will put his WBO Super Bantamweight title on the line and oddsmakers have the champ as a heavy -1050 favorite at Sportsbook.

Arce is coming off an impressive first-round KO over Adolfo Ramos, but even the underdog line of +550 at Sportsbook is not enough of a payout to warrant the upset bet.

This weekend will also feature former Heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield traveling all the way to Denmark to face Brian Nielsen for the WBF Heavyweight title. Despite the fact that Holyfield has only seven wins in his last 17 fights, he will still come into this one against Nielsen as a heavy -550 favorite at Sportsbook.

The reason for that is because Nielsen hasn’t had a professional fight in nine years, and oddsmakers are giving him little chance against the former champ. The best payout on a Nielsen upset is +400 at Sportsbook.

The other fights scheduled for May 7:

Sebastian Sylvester (-110 at Sportsbook) vs. Daniel Geale (-100 at Sportsbook)
Kelly Pavlik vs. Alfonso Lopez
Mike Alvarado (-530 at Sportsbook) vs. Ray Narh (+350 at Sportsbook)
