Pacquiao vs Rios Fight Odds Announced

Manny Pacquiao will return to the boxing odds menu in November with a scrap against 27-year-old American Brandon Rios.

And online sportsbook Bovada wasted no time in getting lines posted on Pac Man’s fight against Bam Bam.

Pacquiao opened as a -400 moneyline favorite, while Rios would pay +300 (3-1) for the upset. Pacquiao comes in on a two-fight losing skid, having been knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez and losing a controversial decision to Timothy Bradley.

Rios meanwhile lost a unanimous decision to Mike Alvarado March 30 in a WBO light welterweight title fight. He had earlier knocked out Alvarado.

The fight goes November 24 in Macao, which will actually be November 23 in North America.

Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao                   -400

Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios                       +300

Expect props on this fight to favor a KO when they get posted later this spring. Only two of Rios’s last 14 fights went the distance and he has been content to slug it out, which creates the potential for an exciting fight with an early finish.

Pacquiao meanwhile had gone the distance in five straight fights before suffering a KO loss to Marquez in the fourth edition of their career-long war.

The impetus for Pacquiao now seems to get back on the winning track and earn some big paydays. It's clear that Floyd Mayweather will never agree to fight him, even as Pac Man ages and his skills erode. Maybe Floyd will save him for a final 50th fight of his career when Manny is using a cane.
