USA favored World Juniors
Sorry Canada - it's Team USA leading the way for the odds to win the World Junior Hockey Championships this year.
The Americans were a holiday Grinch to Team Canada last year, snapping their 5-year run of world championships when John Carlson (currently with the Capitals) scored in OT to beat Canada.
And the odds posted at Bovada reflect the bookmaker's faith in the returning American squad to beat Canada at its own game.
Hockey fans who think Canada will play the USA in the WJC gold medal game can get a +400 payout now as well. There are World Junior Hockey odds on dozens of possible outcomes, including some real longshot options.
"If you think Norway can pull off the biggest upset in hockey history, it's a 650-1 longshot," said Jack Randall.
