Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is a luxury hotel and casino that opened in 2010. Situated on the famous Las Vegas Strip, it cost almost $4 billion to construct and offers guests 110,000 square feet of casino gaming and 2,995 hotel rooms.

Notable for its nightclubs and celebrity guests, the Cosmopolitan (aka “The Cosmo”) has consistently been rated as one of the finest hotels in the world. In addition to the features mentioned above, it also contains massive convention space, over 300,000 square feet of shops and restaurants, spa and fitness facilities, and three different types of swimming pools.

Casino Gaming at the Cosmo

Known for its breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Cosmopolitan also offers its casino patrons ample opportunities to view the neon and skyscrapers of Sin City. In addition to the scenery, customers can enjoy the following gaming options:

Gaming Options
  • Race & Sports Book – This section offers 43 “trading stations” for customers, and each offers viewing screens and comfortable seats. When you’re ready to place a wager, you can do so from your station, at one of the provided betting windows, or via a mobile tablet. Located on the second level of the facility.
  • Table Games – Hundreds of table games are waiting for you on the first floor of the Cosmopolitan. These games include favorites such as: Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow Poker, Spanish 21, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Casino War.
  • Slots – The slot machines range from traditional games to video reels, and video poker is also on the menu. Denominations range from a penny to $500 per spin, and there are a total of 1,478 machines to choose from. Be sure to try out Colossal Reels, a massive game that uses two screens and offers over 100 paylines.
  • Cantor Mobile Gaming – If you want to gamble in Vegas but don’t want to miss all the other sights and sounds, this option allows you to maximize your time. Once you sign up at the Race and Sports Book on the hotel’s second level, you’ll be able to access the mobile gaming platform from CG Technology to enjoy games such as blackjack, poker, and slots.

Three Types of Pools

If you enjoy relaxing by the pool, the Cosmo offers three distinct experiences. These include the following:

Cosmo Pools
  • Bamboo Pool– Open from 9 am until sunset, this pool is geared towards who want to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of Vegas. The facility’s ambient music should calm your nerves, and the canyon-like atmosphere will make you forget all about the money you just lost at the craps table.
  • Boulevard Pool – Open from 8am to 7pm daily, this laid back pool features chairs, daybeds, and plenty of music for your listening pleasure. Watch the traffic on the Strip go by, or take advantage of special events including concerts and outdoor movies.
  • Marquee Dayclub Pool – Open Thursday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm, this pool is an extension of the Marquee Nightclub. A view of the Vegas Strip is available, and bungalow lofts include cabanas, living quarters, indoor pools, and even a party deck.

Marquee Nightclub

Featuring the best DJs from around the globe, as well as a rooftop view of the Vegas Strip, the Marquee Nightclub is one of the top spots for partygoers in Sin City. House music is the main format, but you can also sample other selections in select parts of the club.

During the day, clubbers can step out into the adjoining pool complex for some fun in the sun. They can also pop into the massive cabanas outfitted with spas and plunge pools.

If you’re young and sexy, this experience is a must during your stay in Vegas. Old and ugly folks should also give it a try.

Bars & Lounges

If you want to act hip while chilling out with a mixed drink, be sure to try one of the numerous bars or lounges offer by the Cosmo. They include the following:

Bars & Lounges
  • The Neapolitan of Las Vegas – Brings together two of the greatest things in life: liquor and ice cream.
  • Queue Bar – Their signature drink is a pineapple martini, and you can enjoy it while playing table games and bar-top slots.
  • Bond – This cocktail locale offers high-energy house music and funky artwork.
  • Book & Stage – The perfect place for drinking beer and watching sporting events from around the world.
  • Vesper Bar – Their specialty is cocktail recipes that have been largely forgotten (such as the namesake cocktail created by none other than James Bond).
  • The Chandelier – This site offers a unique experience on each of its three floors. Beaded curtains of light make for a memorable night, and signature drinks include the Forbidden Fruit, Infinite Playlist, and the Verbena.

The Cosmopolitan is one of the newer casinos in Las Vegas, but it makes up for its young age by offering award-winning accommodations and every amenity under the sun. And while their selection of gaming options may not be as hardcore as some of the competition, it’s still more than sufficient to satisfy the average player.
