CFL Week 1 Betting Preview

With the Canadian Football League's preseason schedule all wrapped up the circuit will get its regular season underway this week, starting with matchups in both Hamilton and British Columbia on Friday night and ending with the Alouettes and Stampeders in Calgary on Sunday night.

Fri June 29 - Saskatchewan at Hamilton, 7:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Hamilton 2-8 SU, 3-7 ATS | OU 6-4

The Tiger-Cats made it to the Eastern Final last season before losing to the Blue Bombers, and with Henry Burris now at quarterback they sit at +175 odds at Bovada to win the East this year. The Roughriders, who missed the playoffs in 2011, are the +500 longshot to win the West in 2012.

Last 10 Meetings: B.C. 6-4 SU, 5-5 ATS | OU 3-7

The Lions topped the Blue Bombers 34-23 at home in last year's Grey Cup game, and they're listed as the +125 favorites at Bovada to win the West this season. The Blue Bombers are back at +350 on those CFL futures to take the East this year.

Sat June 30 - Toronto at Edmonton, 7:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Toronto 4-6 SU, 5-4-1 ATS | OU 5-5

The Argonauts will be trying to bounce back this year after missing the playoffs in 2011, and they're at +350 along with the Bombers at Bovada to win the East. The Eskimos are sitting at +450 to win the West after losing to the Lions in last year's Western Final

Sun July 01 - Montreal at Calgary, 7:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Montreal 4-6 SU, 4-6 ATS | OU 7-3

The Alouettes lost to the Tiger-Cats in their first-round playoff matchup last year, and they're at +225 at Bovada to win the East this season. The Stampeders were also first-round losers in last year's playoffs, falling to the Eskimos; they sit at +200 to win the West in 2012.
