CFL Week 16 Trends and Betting Preview

A rare five-game betting slate is on tap for Week 16 of the CFL season, with action getting underway on Tuesday night as the Argos play a displaced home game up in Ottawa against a RedBlacks team leading the league at 9-4 ATS on the season. Here's a look at the odds and trends for all five CFL games coming up over the next week.

Ottawa at Toronto - Tuesday, October 6

Last 10 Meetings: Toronto 6-4 SU, 4-6 ATS | OU 3-7

The Argonauts are 2-0 SU and 1-1 ATS in their two games against the RedBlacks so far this season as they prepare for a 'home' game on Tuesday night that will actually be played at Ottawa's TD Place thanks to the Blue Jays making the playoffs. The OVER paid off for totals bettors on the CFL betting lines in both of the first two Argos vs. RedBlacks games this season.

At 5Dimes the game between the Argonauts and the RedBlacks is listed as a pick'em.

Saskatchewan at Hamilton - Friday, October 9

Last 10 Meetings: Hamilton 4-6 SU, 4-6 ATS | OU 3-7

The UNDER is 5-1 in the last six games between the Tiger-Cats and the Roughriders as those teams meet on Friday night in Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats won and covered the spread in their first game of the season against the Roughriders back in July, picking up a 31-21 victory as a 2-point road underdog on the CFL odds. The Roughriders are a league-worst 2-12 SU and 4-10 ATS on the season.

At 5Dimes the Tiger-Cats are listed as 7.5-point favorites against the Roughriders.

Edmonton at Calgary - Saturday, October 10

Last 10 Meetings: Calgary 9-1 SU, 8-2 ATS | OU 4-6

The Eskimos snapped a lengthy SU and ATS losing streak against the Stampeders when the teams last met on September 12, winning 27-16 at home as a pick'em in that UNDER result. The Stampeders got past the Eskimos in their first matchup of 2015 on September 7, winning that contest 16-7 and covering the 4-point spread at home in another UNDER result on the totals.

At 5Dimes the Stampeders are listed as 4.5-point favorites against the Eskimos.

Winnipeg at B.C. - Saturday, October 10

Last 10 Meetings: B.C. 7-3 SU, 5-5 ATS | OU 3-7

The Blue Bombers knocked off the Lions 23-13 as a 3-point home underdog on the CFL odds in their first meeting of the season in July as the Western clubs hit the gridiron together again on Saturday. That July matchup was an UNDER result on the totals, making the UNDER 6-2 in the last eight games between the teams dating back to 2012.

At 5Dimes the Lions are listed as 7-point favorites against the Blue Bombers.

Toronto at Montreal - Monday, October 12

Last 10 Meetings: Montreal 6-4 SU, 6-4 ATS | OU 1-9

The Alouettes are on a two-game SU and ATS win streak against the Argonauts heading into their first meeting of the 2015 season on Thanksgiving Monday. Montreal went 2-1 both SU and ATS against Toronto in 2014, with the UNDER paying off for totals bettors in each of those three meetings. The UNDER is now 9-1 in their last 10 matchups dating back to 2012.

At 5Dimes this game was still OFF the board early in the week.
