Chad Johnson Odds: CFL Props Update
The saying is ‘go west, young man,’ not ‘go north, old man,’ but Chad Johnson is taking his NFL pedigree and pass-catching skills to the Canadian Football League.
However, oddsmakers don’t believe the 36-year-old former Pro Bowler will have a huge impact on the Montreal Alouettes.
Online sportsbook Bovada posted an OVER-UNDER of three TDs when asked about how many times Johnson would celebrate in the end zone in 2014.
It’s a low number for a former All-Star, who played most of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played briefly in 2011 and did not make the Miami Dolphins the following year.
On the Chad Johnson prop line of ‘Will he play Game 1 of the CFL regular season,’ the bet is solidly in the ‘yes’ camp. The line posted this week was -200 that he will play in Game 1.
That line is always in peril as Johnson has had his fair share of run-ins with authorities both on and off the field during his playing career.
