Grey Cup Odds Preview
The Grey Cup is set, as in a match up of last year's big game the Montreal Alouettes will face the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Last week Montreal had no problem in crushing Toronto 48-17 while Saskatchewan scored a 20-16 upset over Calgary with a great defensive game.
Grey Cup Preview and Odds - Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Montreal Alouettes
has Montreal as 3.5-point favorites in this game with a total of 51.5. Saskatchewan will try to erase last year's mistake in the Grey Cup when they began to celebrate after missed Montreal field goal, but were called for too many men on the field and the Alouettes made the next field goal to win the prestigious trophy.

The Roughriders will need another great defensive game to thwart the Montreal offense and that will be very hard to do. In their blowout win against Toronto Montreal QB Anthony Calvillo passed for 334 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT and RB Avon Cobourne rushed for 163 yards and 1 TD.
Calvillo has to be wary of Roughriders' S James Patrick, who led the CFL in INT's this season and had a crucial pick last week that led to a TD.
Montreal may be without S Safety Mathieu and CB Mark Estelle, who were each injured last week and are questionable for the game.
Montreal has played in 8 Grey Cups since 2000 and no team has won back-to-back Grey Cup titles since they did it in 1996 and 1997. Roughriders' QB Darian Durant was plagued by INT's in the latter part of the season and he had one last week against Calgary and he will be facing a solid Montreal secondary this weekend. If he gets picked off a few times Saskatchewan will have a tough time winning this game.
Durant only passed for 180 yards last week and the Roughriders only rushed for 111 yards as a team and if they cannot keep Montreal from lighting up the scoreboard they may be in trouble, as the Roughriders will be in a big hole if they have to get into a shootout.
Montreal simply has too many weapons on offense and while their D will not dominate Saskatchewan they will play good and the Alouettes will win this game and cover the spread and will not be that close like it was last season.
In some betting trends for this game:
- Montreal is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games when playing Saskatchewan, but 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Saskatchewan.
- Saskatchewan 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games and the total has gone OVER in 4 of Saskatchewan's last 6 games.
