College Basketball Betting Preview

Either Villanova or Louisville will suffer its first conference loss tonight when the Wildcats and Cardinals collide in a Big East matchup.

The Wildcats have won five-straight after edging Marquette 78-76 as an 8-point favorite on Saturday. Corey Stokes netted 16 points and Scottie Reynolds had 15 points, as Villanova excelled from 3-point range in the win after hitting 7-of-15 shots from behind the arc.

Louisville has won seven of their last eight, with their lone defeat coming at the hands of No. 3 ranked Kentucky. That was also Louisville only ranked matchup so far this season. Last time out on Saturday they faced St. John’s and got past the Red Storm 75-68 as a 13-point favorite. Jeremy Smith led the Cardinals with 16 points and Jared Swopshire chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds.

The Wildcats and Cardinals clashed twice last season and Louisville won and covered the spread in both matchups .With those two victories the Cards has won three-straight and five in a row ATS versus Villanova. In tonight’s matchup Louisville is a 3-point favorite at Bovada.

College basketball odds – Big Ten battle

Looking ahead to Tuesday’s college basketball slate there’s a Big Ten clash on tap between Ohio State and No. 4 Purdue.

The Buckeye tumultuous season continued on Saturday when they lost to Minnesota, 73-62 as a 4-point underdog. That was their third losses in their last four games and dropped them to 1-7 ATS in their last eight.

Versus the Golden Gophers Evan Turner delivered a solid performance with 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, but the Buckeyes shot only 53 % from the free throw line in the loss.

Purdue suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday after falling to Wisconsin 73-66 as a 1.5-point chalk. E’Twaun Moore led the Boilermakers with 24 points and Robbie Hummel added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

The Boilermakers took two of three from the Buckeyes last season, but they only covered the spread in one of those wins. Purdue has won three-straight home games against the Buckeyes, but they’re only 2-6 ATS in their last eight homes games versus Ohio State.
