2016 Indiana Primary Betting Odds

Indiana stands at one of the last bastions of hope for many potential presidential nominees with the number of primaries dwindling every week. This is especially true for Ted Cruz and John Kasich, who have seen their chance of catching Donald Trump becoming worse and worse.

Both Cruz and Trump have been campaigning hard in Indiana leading up to the vote on May 3, with a victory in the Hoosier State looking like it’s make-or-break for Cruz. As more and more states have gone to the polls, it has become a more realistic possibility that Trump can earn the 1237 delegates needed to become the Republican nominee. With Cruz and Kasich simply trying to take enough votes to get to a contests convention, losing the 57 delegates of Indiana would be a crushing blow.

The democrats are in a much tighter race with Hillary Clinton up roughly 300 delegates over Bernie Sanders. The nomination will almost certainly come down to superdelegates at this point with Clinton and Sanders virtually splitting most of the states so far during primary season. Clinton did squeak out a victory in Indiana back in 2008 when she faced off against Barack Obama.
