Emmy Awards Odds: Mad Men vs GOT

Mad Men remains ahead of Game of Thrones on the Emmy Awards odds at the sportsbooks, with the telecast coming up on Sunday night.

At Bovada Mad Men is the -125 favorite on the odds to win Outstanding Drama Series at the 2015 Emmys, with Game of Thrones just a small step behind at -110. Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, and Homeland are all longer shots of +2000 or higher at the sportsbook.

Veep is then still the favorite on the odds to win Outstanding Comedy Series at -115 at Bovada, with its closest competition coming from Transparent at +250 and Modern Family at +275. Louie and Silicon Valley are both at +2000, with Parks and Recreation at +2500, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt at +3300.

Mad Men has slipped ahead of Game of Thrones on the updated Emmy Awards odds at the online sportsbooks, with the telecast coming up on Sunday, September 20.

At Bovada Mad Men is now the -125 favorite on the odds to win Outstanding Drama Series at the 2015 Emmys, with Game of Thrones a close second at EVEN odds on the list. Mad Men has won Outstanding Drama Series four times in the past, while Game of Thrones is looking for its first trophy in this category.

Veep then remains the clear favorite at -125 at Bovada on the odds to win Outstanding Comedy Series, while its star Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the -200 favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series; she's won that category in each of the past three years.

Jeffrey Tambor of Transparent is still the -1000 favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, with Jon Hamm of Mad Men the -600 favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for the first time in his career. Viola Davis of How to Get Away with Murder is the -225 favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

It'll be Mad Men vs. Game of Thrones at the 67th Emmy Awards on September 20, and the oddsmakers at the online sportsbooks are leaning towards Westeros on their opening betting lines for the primetime ceremony.

At Bovada it's Game of Thrones that sits as the 2/3 favorite on the odds to win Outstanding Drama Series at the 2015 Emmys, with Mad Men then at 3/2 on those betting props. Mad Men, which has wrapped up production, has won this category four times in the past, while Game of Thrones is looking for its first Outstanding Drama Series trophy.

Veep is then the 4/5 favorite on the odds to win Outstanding Comedy Series, with defending winner Modern Family and newcomer Transparent both at 7/2 on the betting lines. Silicon Valley and Louie each sit at 10/1 odds, with Parks and Recreation at 25/1, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt at 33/1.
