Rob Ford Odds: Will TO mayor quit?

Toronto's embattled Mayor Rob Ford has pledged to remain in office in the wake of a drug scandal, but one sportsbook isn't so sure that he won't change his mind. What will the mayor, who admitted to smoking crack cocaine after denying it for many months, do before Dec. 31? Online sportsbook Bovada made it a 9/4 payout (a little better than 2/1 odds) that he will resign.

Despite the fact he has vowed to remain in office until spring elections, rumors have circulated that he may quit. However the even odds proposition is that he neither resigns nor takes a leave of absence, which is 1/1. If he takes a leave of absence, that would pay out as a 3/2 bet.

The controversy has swirled since the spring when it was reported that a video existed showing the mayor smoking the drug. The videotape never surfaced and Ford denied its existence. Last month, police officials claimed to have a copy of the tape and pressure mounted for Mayor Ford to resign.

In happier times, the burly Ford has beaten Hulk Hogan in an arm wrestling match and awarded longtime Canadian heavyweight boxing champ George Chuvalo with a key to the city.

What will Toronto Mayor Rob Ford do first before December 31st, 2013?
