ESPN College Football Game of the Night Odds
West Virginia looks to start climbing back up the rankings mountain with a win, while Colorado looks to get some respect and maybe get in the top 25 with a win.
West Virginia Mountaineers (1-1) at Colorado Buffaloes (2-0)
Line: West Virginia -3 Over/Under 56.5
The Mountaineers have had a week off to get ready for this game and go over what went wrong in their last loss to East Carolina. What went wrong? QB Pat White is a star, but did not play like one against the Pirates (97 yards rushing and 72 passing yards).
In that loss to East Carolina, the Mountaineers did not score a TD for the first time since the 2001 season. The Buffaloes looked good in their opening win over in-state rival Colorado State 38-17, but had to come from behind to beat Eastern Washington 31-24. Colorado has also had an off week to get ready for this big game.
The line of -3 has moved just slightly off the -3.5 open this week, so there is almost even money on the game. This season, the Buffalos are 1-0 ATS and 0-1 Over/Under. The Mountaineers are 0-1 both ATS and Over/Under. West Virginia is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road. The total has gone Under in 5 of West Virginia's last 7 games on the road.
Even though it did not show it in their last loss, the Mountaineers have a powerhouse offense and the Buffalos have given up over 30 points in their first two games. The Mountaineers have averaged 5.7 yards per rush and the Buffalos have only averaged 3.5 yards per rush.
Look for West Virginia to bounce back and play a strong game here in the road, as they are much better than they showed in their loss to East Carolina. The Buffalos are young and even though they are 2-0 they have not played a team the caliber of West Virginia.

Because of that, we see taking West Virginia -3 as a good bet and we also like the Under. The total has gone Under in five of the last seven road games WV has played in and there is a 30-per-cent chance of rain.
