2016-17 PGA Tour Money List Leader Odds

There’s plenty of money to be made as a professional golfer, and no distinction serves as a better example of bragging rights than leading the field in the PGA Tour money list.

At Sportsbook, Dustin Johnson is a +135 favorite to make the most dough in the 2016-17 season. Hideki Matsuyama (+325), Justin Thomas (+400), Jordan Spieth (+700), Rory McIlroy (+1800), Jon Rahm (+1800), Rickie Fowler (+2000), Jason Day (+2800), Justin Rose (+3500) and Gary Woodland (+6600) round out the top 10.

Johnson is the most recent recipient of the award after he raked in $9.4 million in 2015-16. The American’s dream season was highlighted by winning the U.S. Open, the first major title of his career. Johnson’s elusive hunt for a major seemed to always end in heartbreak in seasons past, but he’s erased the distinction of being the best golfer in the world who couldn’t win the big one.

This year DJ, who's eclipsed Jason Day as the No. 1-ranked player in the world, is looking absolutely unstoppable after winning the Genesis Open and the WGC-Mexico Championship. As of March 7, Matsuyama topped the money list, with Thomas, Johnson, Spieth and Pat Perez comprising the top 5.

Spieth, the 2014-15 winner, had a severe down year, as an excruciating meltdown on the final round at the Masters saw him (literally) hand Danny Willett the green jacket. Spieth’s sophomore slump is not out of the ordinary for players in their early 20s, so banking on him to rebound in this regard is never a bad idea due to the raw talent he possesses.
