Mickelson can become the number one player in the world if he wins this weekend and Woods finishes sixth of lower. Lefty won the Players Championship in 2007 and came in second last week at Quail Hollow and would have won if Rory McIlroy had not fired a course record 62 in the final round.

Bovada has Padraig Harrington at +2000 and he had a final round 68 last week and is playing well. He has never won at the Players Championship, but he has the game to change that.

Last year’s winner of the Players Championship Henrik Stenson is at +3000 at Bovada and he will be trying to become the first player ever to win the event in back-to-back seasons. This season he has played in four events and while he has made three cuts he has not finished in the top 10.
