Tiger Not Favored Cadillac Odds
His adoring public turned on him, the sponsor public turned on him and general public turned on him in the wake his sexual exploits.
Now his leaky golf game has the betting public turning on Tiger Woods. For the first time since his return, the former best player in the world is not favored at the outset of a major golf tournament.

All of the top golfers in the world are in the field this week for the WGC Cadillac Championship at Doral. It is the best field that any tournament has had in two years as all of the Top 50 in the world will be playing this week. World #1 Martin Kaymer is the slight favorite at SBG Global but there are a lot of contenders.
The top four players in the world and 10 of the top 20 are all Europeans. Kaymer is ranked #1 and he is followed by Lee Westwood, Luke Donald and Graeme McDowell. Tiger Woods is ranked #5 in the world but he has not won a tournament in more than a year and is rarely in contention. Woods still gets respect on the odds board though as he is the co-second choice behind Kaymer this week.
This is the first time since 2009 that all of the top 50 in the world rankings will be in the same event. Unless a player withdraws this will be the best field of the year. The course at Doral is nicknamed the Blue Monster but it is not a tough course. In fact, the winner in the last three years has averaged finishing 18 under par.
Kaymer is the favorite in golf odds at 8.5/1 while Woods and McDowell are each 9.5/1. Everyone else is listed at double-digit odds including Phil Mickelson who is 15-1. Westwood and Paul Casey are 17-1 while Nick Watney is 18-1 and Luke Donald 23-1. There could be a lot of wind this weekend at Doral and that could favor McDowell who is used to playing in the wind as he grew up in Northern Ireland. Watney nearly won this event two years ago and he has been in the Top 10 in each of his four starts this year. Also worth a look this week is Matt Kuchar who tied for third last year. He is listed at 26-1 along with Rory McIlroy.
Since this is such an unbelievably talented field you can find some really great longshots this week. Steve Stricker has odds of 37-1, Rickey Fowler is 43-1 and last week’s winner Rory Sabbatini is 62-1. There will not be another event this season where you can get such great golfers at big odds.
